I love being able to have different cubes for each family member, then when we arrive, all I have to do is hand out the cubes, instead of unpacking an entire case.
It's also easier to fill the case with them, rather than having to keep moving things around to fit everything inside the case which are awkwardly shaped.

I use it even for my own things. All toiletries in one. All socks/underwear/tights etc in another. Or sometimes, one outfit per day in each cube. However you want to break down your items, this just allows you to pack in a more organized fashion.
