Fun fact: almost all Lubavitch men and boys over 9 wear PJ pants undershirt tzitzis and yarmulka to bed. No pj shirt. |
is this a thing? We are Chabad.
my boys are BM age and they wear tshirts along with PJ pants, undershirts and tzitzis.
this is far more in the category of preference than “community standard”

My father, brothers, DH, FIL and other male relative don’t own a PJ shirt. My brother’s started around 8/9 to not wear a pj shirt.

When they go to sleep away camp and no one else is wearing a shirt they usually stop. Of course there are some that do but majority don't

My 6 year old decided he doesn't wear a shirt anymore. I don't even know how he came up with it since he's the oldest and we don't have any boy cousins. The only man he sees in PJs is my husband and he doesn't wear shirts but I didn't think my 6 year old would pick up on that as something he wants to do. I guess they talked about it in school or something

You don’t need to wear any, min hatorah you only need if you’re wearing something that has four corners , then you need the tzitzis strings.
But people wear four corners (Tzitzis), to get a mitzva.
It’s also a segula for yiras shomayim.
