If they sleep, let them. They will wake when they are hungry.

This is obviously only for healthy babies that are gaining adequate weight.

You shouldn’t be letting let them go past a few hours in the beginning this is inaccurate.

lol!
The perfect mother is always the newest mother! I was too!
Then we have more kids and learn that there is no such thing as perfection!

My first baby ate beautifully, slept through the night without sleep training and literally never cried. As for the others..

You don't have to wake them every 2-3 hours. If they are sleeping 6+ hours thats another story. As long as they are gaining there is no need to wake them.

Middle ground people… don’t let a newborn sleep through the whole night, but no need to wake them every 2.5-3 hrs. If they’re still sleeping by 5-6 hrs then wake them up because they already missed a feeding. This is only when they’re really little. Once they’re 4,5,6 months and they’re gaining weight and eating well through the day you can stop waking them at all if they sleep through.

This is inaccurate, check the AAP guidelines. Blood sugar levels start to drop after a few hours and you want to avoid that.

Baby Feeding Tip

During the first few weeks, if your baby does not wake up in the middle of the night to eat, you should wake them. The AAP recommends waking newborns to eat after four to five hours of sleep in the first few weeks after birth.

I didn't mean don't ever wake them. You don't need to wake them every 2-3 hours like a lot of new mothers are told.
Im done talking about this.

You think it is totally due to your amazing parenting that your child walks/talks early and take credit for it at all time LOL

You attend every single PTA, mid morning 15 minute performances, get all school supplies at the beginning of the summer, always have a mitzva note prepped etc

And take endless photos Laugh

I do most of those and I am an experienced mother of many BH.

You have weekly bump photos of your growing pregnancy.

Your child's outfits always match perfectly.

You spent $50 on a Hanna Andersson sweater because "it's just so cute!"

You refuse to use even a drop of formula, even when you're crying because your baby can't latch and he's losing weight. What about those 2 IQ points??

You make homemade baby food purees.

You exorcise all artifical fragrances from your house and only use the fancy baby-branded laundry detergents and soaps.

You sterilize your pump parts after every single use.

Your husband comes to every OB appointment with you.

You agonize over whether taking Tylenol while pregnant will give your baby autism.
