Try Bikini zone. I like their pre-medicated pads best because it has the least mess.

Tweezing usually promotes hair (facial forsure).
the best for ingrown hair is to use a loofa (however you spell that) , exfoliate regularly and drink lots of water.

You can remove it just like squeezing out a pimple. Let it soak in hot water so the pores open up (or after shower) then with clean hands squeeze the sides to remove the ingrown hair up and out. Clean your skin with alcohol after removal.
Exfoliate the area often to prevent ingrown hairs.
If it's really infected, go to a doctor.
