Think Yogurt and fruit but I don't want that every day. Smoothies make a mess and I only like eggs hot so putting my breakfast straight from fridge to my bag in the morning won't be doable.
A healthy muffin or protein bar isn't filling enough.
Any other ideas? No bread

Cottage cheese and crackers or cucumber sticks is similar enough to yogurt. Can make it more umami than yogurt days (sweet with fruit taste) and switch it up.

Also. What about adding an apple to the muffin/protein bar?

Or hummus and sliced veggies?

I make smoothies for my kids including little ones for breakfast on the go all the time. It's not messy. I put them in either a hot cup with a lid or a clear plastic smoothie cup with a lid. And then a straw inside. It's very contained.

If u don't mind eating it cold, between carpools has a great recipe of protein pancakes made with yogurt. Delicious and filling with some fruit.
Re smoothies, if you mean that it's messy to make here's a hack. I make a big batch of smoothies in the beginning of the week and freeze it in the cups ready to go. I take it out in the morning and by the time I go out it's defrosted (takes maybe 2 hrs to defrost, quicker if u put it into a bowl w hot water).
Tuna salad or cottage cheese veggies is also delicious.

Use a funnel and pour it into a water bottle that has a screw cap. Like a gatorade bottle or something.

My kids like to wake up later and eat breakfast on the bus-they either have cheese pancakes (cottage cheese, sugar, flour, baking powder) or waffles (oatmeal, banana, almond milk, baking powder) with a string cheese or a yogurt

Have taken smoothies in the car for years, you just need a good bottle with a cap that has a wide straw option and that git into a cup holder.
