One time, when I had just walked out of the house on a very rainy day with my (then) three-year old and one-and-a-half year old, my one-and-a-half year old pointed to the muddy ground outside and exclaimed "bis!" (his made-up word for mess)

To which I responded, "Yes, it is a mess outside."

My three-year old then added, "And it's a mess inside the house too!" embarrassed

What can I say? He was right.

LOL! Reminds me of my story- I asked my 2 year old to pick up some papers from the floor and throw them in the garbage. He picked them up and started stuffing them under my bed. I asked, "What are you doing?!" And he said, "It's a mess here anyway." LOL Rolling Eyes

The other day, I was sitting in the pharmacy, waiting, with my 2 year old on my lap. There was a man in the chair next to us, and a lady next to the man. DS starts making one observation after another, and I was just waiting for him to say something embarassing. B"H, he didn't. But it was so funny and suspenseful, not knowing what he would say next.

"Man has a shirt."
"Man doesn't have a boo-boo." (He is obsessed with his boo-boo.)
"Man has eyes."
"Lady has glasses."
etc.

I love it! So suspenseful!

My 3-year-old ended the suspense before it started yesterday, when we walked by a bald man and she pointed and said (yep): "That man is BALD!"

I like your son's approach better.

I know! I didn't mean he had a conscious strategy for building suspense. Very Happy

Benny saw a tree without leaves and told me the "tee boken" (tree is broken)
Whenever he sees me all dressed up, he tells me "mommy so pretty!" or sometimes when I'm wearing heels or something different, he tells me "nice shoes!" or whatever I'm wearing.

I picked my 2 yr old up from day care and as we were walking out of the building there was this other mother with a girl that looked a little younger than my son walking behind us. He turned around, looked at the girl, turned to me and said, "cute kid mommy"

"Do you have a baby in your belly?"

"No."

"Are you sure? 'Cause your belly is getting bigger."

"Um, gee, thanks."

We went to the neighbor today to visit their sukka. My 3yo enjoyed the pickles from their seudah. Later today (M’Sh) we saw the husband coming home from shul.

On volume ten: HELLO! I had a pickle from you!

When I worked with my fifth graders, and I was pregnant, one boy had an epiphany. He looked at my belly and said, "mrs. octopus, are you pregnant?" I smiled and nodded my head. He scratched his head and said, "I was wondering why you were getting so fat."

We went to visit a couple our age that has not been blessed with children yet.

My ds asks the husband, “all your kids are married”?

Not flattering at all.

If you know me, you know I'm the worst housewife in the world. Well, my dd will point to dirty stuff or stuff on the floor and go "oh no!". Or pick it up and bring it to me or throw it away. Hum. She is developing her Yekke side.

A few days ago, I was looking at myself in the mirror with my new "thin" look and all happy... my dd came and pointing to her head, said "where is sheitel???". LOL!!!!!
