Don't have any yom tov feelings. The news of Hamas saying their guards killed a male hostage and seriously wounded two female hostages is weighing heavily. I know, they're great at psychological warfare. But still ...

It’s so hard to go to sleep now even though my body needs it. I want to be up and see how things unfold

I’m laying awake alone the only one up in my house just listening to the silence. I need sleep but I fight it. It’s true whatever transpires I will need my energy for. But I am just hanging on every single event showing miracles Hashem is doing now. I’m waiting for those posts. But I need sleep too

I'm up now feeling jittery.

Anyone else? I am waiting for news about mashiach. I listened to rabbi nissel (thanks to the imas who recommended it!) describe mashiach and I chuckled and enjoyed it. Made me feel less tense and more of that yearning feeling...

The seemingly imminent Iranian/hezbollah attack, the US submarines and aircraft carriers heading to the region... Something is up, and I'm not able to sleep right now.

It feels different because for years I had a hard time connecting with grainy Holocaust videos on tisha Bav, but this year we have so much new content rl”tz that we can all relate too. Something we all lived though and experience the after effects. We are all changed forever. This year has been undeniably dark. No one can call our generation spoiled and privileged anymore. The churban has literally dropped on our door Sad

Last evening I felt like Iran was about to attack, but when I woke uo in the morning and nothing had happened, I felt more optimistic. Now that it's past noon (in Israel), I am feeling less and less nervous and more and more optimistic.

I was worried that if Iran did attack today it would be bad because I read the comments on eicha about it being a day where Hashem shows His anger. I thought maybe it's davka not going to be today because Hashem doesn't want to show His anger, and that makes me feel better about it.

And it’s morning now and I made it through the night more or less. And yet we are still here . I still have this feeling in me. I was waiting for amazing dramatic news overnight. But we are still waiting. Still here. Still waiting, please Hashem

I think that may be an “antiquated” explanation of eicha. Antiquated meaning before our messianic times. Now that we are living in these times I think Tisha B’av is going to turn into a happy day. (I don’t know about this year, but in general, our times are different now).

Eventually it will, but I don't think the mazel changes until mashiach actually comes. Otherwise we wouldn't be avoiding dangerous things in the 9 days etc.
