I went, it was very nice to have a private pool. There was a kosher restaurant on premises when I went but that was three years ago. Check into the kashrus if it’s still open, don’t know anything about it nowadays.

It's amazing Smile
Several kosher restaurants around (meat and dairy) check chabad website for info. You can order via WhatsApp and They deliver to hotel. It's about 20 min from the city...personally didn't feel the need to leave the hotel complex since there's lots to do on site and of course you have your private pool!
Don't recommend the hotel restaurant for a meal but they have some sides that they can deliver to your room or to the beach etc

I was a bit surprised that it wasn't more "fancy". Wasn't a bad thing and the experience was definitely luxurious....I just wasn't expecting the mexico/island vibe of the decor

I went a year ago and it was incredible! I keep dreaming about going back. The food at the hotel is good enough.

I didn’t go there but I went to Grand Hyatt in Playa Del Carmen and it was gorgeous and the restaurant on site was fantastic. We were in walking distance to a bunch of other kosher restaurants and the town life. Highly recommend!

I went to both Grand Hyatt and Bonyan Tree and it's not to compare. Bonyan tree is much nicer, private villas, private pool, gorgeous grounds, beautiful beachfront. Grand hyatt is a nice hotel but it doesn't compare to a villa. Grand hyatt is walking distance to lots of kosher restaurants. Bonyan tree has one restaurant on premises which is pricey and the food is just ok, but if you have a car its around 20 minutes away from other kosher restaurants. The restaurant in grand hyatt has delicious food but its also pretty expensive. IMO Bonyan Tree is the better option between the two, but it all depends on what type of Vacation you're looking for. I wouldnt go back to Grand Hyatt, but I would go to Bonyan Tree again.

Would go to Hyatt for dinner then back to Banayan tree. Would not recommend Hyatt as a vacation spot
