We've gotten pretty tired of our same old things I serve a lot so I'm looking for some new things to add to the rotation. What do you guys serve when you want to have a more fun Shabbos meal? Nothing super sweet and more budget friendly (ie not steak) preferred.

I started making vegetarian bean nachos for shalosh seudos. It is so fun! I also like to make things individual which my kids find fun. franks in blankets, mini potato knishes, mini deli rolls, mini carrot muffins etc.

Tortilla chip shells, with salsa, leftover meat or chicken cubed or shredded, avocado and parve sour cream. Yum!

We make themed meals -
a Chinese,
meat pizza shabbos
Mexican
Israeli shawarma and all the salads
Most of the time it’s the typical chicken soup, gefilte, salmon, paprikash, Farfel, kugels, compote

Green Tea

Ideas:
Mushroom dip with home made mayonnaise, or fry shimeji mushrooms and decorate on top of hummus.
Well baked Sweet potato kugel (as opposed to regular)
Homemade matbucha made with lots of cherry tomatoes
Meatballs - add a spoon or two of silan/molasses, paprika, chili powder, s&p,
breadcrumbs, onion or onion powder. It’s great
Roast pine nuts (or other) and decorate on salads, meat or fish.
Buy or make sourdough challah
Babka with fruit for dessert
