Sure you can grill marinated cutlets.
You can either use BBQ sauce or just spices..

Burgers- I usually just put salt and pepper in but you can also put sauce
Chicken on the bone- sauce or honey and spices
Chicken wings- same as chicken on bone
Chicken cutlets - sauce or marinated with oil and spices and herbs
Vegetables - oil, salt, garlic, spices
Steak- salt and pepper usually
Hot dogs - sauce

I usually just put in and flip when doesn't stick to grill anymore. I don't know exactly how long....

A gas grill is generally much easier to use than a charcoal grill because it is not that different than using a gas range.

You need some tools to keep the grills clean - there are baskets which make grilling fish or vegetables easier so that you can turn and also stuff doesn't fall through.

In my personal experience boneless chicken is much easier than chicken with a bone because it cooks more evenly.

The nice thing about grilling is that even very simple preparations make everything taste good so it is very easy cooking.

To start you off, this is my absolute favorite grilled chicken and I have been making for many years. Don't overcook as you don't want to dry it out.

I usually marinate for 24 hours so the flavor permeates. The left over chicken is so good I generally make lots of chicken as it is easy to scale up.

Unbelievable Chicken

Ingredients

¼ cup cider vinegar
3 tablespoons prepared coarse-ground mustard
3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
1 lime, juiced
½ lemon, juiced
½ cup brown sugar
1 ½ teaspoons salt
ground black pepper to taste
6 tablespoons olive oil
6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

Directions

In a large glass bowl, mix the cider vinegar, mustard, garlic, lime juice, lemon juice, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Whisk in the olive oil. Place chicken in the mixture. Cover, and marinate 8 hours, or overnight.

Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat.

Lightly oil the grill grate. Place chicken on the prepared grill, and cook 6 to 8 minutes per side, until juices run clear. Discard marinade.
