Besides for sewing labels on each sock, is there any other way to label dark colored socks that is not so time consuming?

For camp? I don't bother. I send along a mesh bag which they pin inside their laundry bag. They put their socks in there every night. Zip it up and unpin from the laundry bag when it's time to wash. The mesh bag has a label.

It is for camp and I also send a mesh bag. But there have been instances where the laundry staff emptied the mesh bags. So don’t want to take a chance.

The iron on labels last on socks. They're quicker than sewing and just as permanent.
You can also buy the "camp socks" that come with a white patch on the bottom that you're meant to use a fine point sharpie marker to label. They're well priced.
I also use the stick on labels sometimes, but I know they're not permanent on socks, and they do fall off eventually. I press them on for a good new moments, squeezing, to help them stay on for a while.

Same. The time it takes to sew labels doesn’t add up to the $3 a pair….

I’m using a white clothing stamp plus a mesh bag and hope for the best. I buy socks in bulk on Amazon.
