Do you enjoy it? I assume there are more women there- I’m used to about 90 percent men!

I used to go once a year to a conference in my field (accounting). I did it because I had to for work purposes. I didn't really enjoy the conference, but didn't dislike it either. I did however enjoy the hotel stay, takeout food, and nice weather/atmosphere if it was in a nice area.

I stopped going since Covid, but will probably start going again.

Ive attended large national conferences in my field and have made professional presentations at some. It’s been inspirational and definitely reinvigorating. I work in a challenging medical field and this has made a big impact for me. I don’t go for the socializing or the travel.

I go to present research and learn what’s new/changing so I’m current in my practice. 1-2x per year national and international medical conferences. Can’t imagine I would go to a frum one as the advertising is so disrespectful to women I can’t stomach it.

I go once a year to a conference in my field. Usually I present as well as attend sessions. I tend to feel kind of isolated and different at the conferences because a lot of the connections happen when people go out to eat in large groups or go out for drinks. I feel like the weird intense one who’s just there to delve into the research and argue passionately with likeminded nerds.

I would love to go to one for my field... but my work won't pay and it is super expensive even without hotel, travel, time off work. Plus it is over Shabbos usually so I couldn't go for more than the Friday part. And the good speakers are on Shabbos...
