I was thinking maybe putting it in a nice gravy type sauce?
or maybe adding the "pretzel seasoning" for some crunch.

We portion it to tge size we want to serve, wrap in foil and freeze to add to a future weeks cholent. Scraps are fine.
"Cholent kugel" became so popular in my house that I need to make potato kugel to freeze to add to the cholent, when we run out of the frozen leftovers.

Very easy, very quick, delicious and fattening.
Cut rectangular slices less than an inch thick.
Heat oil in a big frying pan.
Fry on all sides until browned. The slices will be crunchy on the outside and soft inside.
You can serve with sweet chili sauce but also good without.
My kids love this.

I also did kugel in a sauce from the stew. That was good too.

IDK why you need to doctor it up. I would cut it up into individual portions, wrap and freeze, and have for snacking.
