I have been thinking about this a lot recently. Vorts, brissim, kiddushes, shmorgs etc.
What is the etiquette of attendance if not invited?
I know it is rude to go somewhere not invited but sometimes these open invites make me wonder. How close to you need to be to pop in and wish a mazal tov?
Close friends is obvious but I am wondering for acquaintances. For me personally, I am the more the merrier type but it isn't my wallet.

Anything that isn't a sit-down dinner/ seudah, you can pop into.

If you're close by, you can generally always pop in and say hi, mazel tov and only sit down if asked/invited by the host.
