Saute Onions and garlic, Add spices - season salt, paprika, and a little bit of duck sauce. Add the meat and cover pot and let cook on a low flame until meat is really really soft ( About 1.5 to 2 hours). Mix occasionally to prevent the bottom from getting stuck to pot. enjoy.

I was wondering the same thing. But I need a recipe that I can make in a roaster oven, and can leave alone for 4 hours.

I prefer shoulder steak-- not too much more expensive than minute steak and less gristle and no annoying gristle/fat line down the middle.

We get 2 portions of minute steak for $7 or so, usually. I marinate and grill, and it's fabulous.

Just made it last night. I pured Teryaki sauce over them & let them marinate for a couple of hours in the fridge. Then I put them in a greased pan & broiled them 10 minutes on each side. They tasted good but I'm not a steak person so I didn't love it.

mix soy sauce and terriyaki sauce, a little olive oil, and McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning (the best thing that Hashem ever created). don't put tons of it, it's a bit spicy. but if you love spicy, then pour away. you can also add fresh chopped garlic, but if not, garlic powder is totally fine. anyway mix all of this in a bowl and rub over the steak. you can either broil it in the oven, grill it, or fry for a few minutes on both sides in a frying pan. serve with some white rice or a baked potato and green beans. the most amazing meal ever!

Kmelion, you can try to bake it on a lower flame for four hours. I put my chicken in the oven that long when I make it for shabbos and it comes out fine. there is enough sauce that it shouldn't get dried out.

I'm stuck with a minute roast which is kind of annoying in of itself as I really want a rolled roast but there you go.

I don't want that much sugar. (No duck sauce etc) and I don't want soy sauce.

I normally take a rolled roast, put lots of fresh crushed pepper, some wine and garlic and roast that medium rare and then slice it and have it cook in the gravy some more.

Can I do that with a minute roast? Also how long do I cook it?

And what temperature do I roast it? I usually roast at 400 for regular rolled roasts.

Thanks in advance! Very Happy

Edit: PHEW! Butcher has a frozen rolled roast so I'm going with that instead. As I said on another thread, I'm a culinary wimp sometimes. Especially when I've been sick (B"H, I'm better) and the cleaning lady couldn't make it. (The perfect week, right? Laughing ) I just want to do what's easy and what usually works!

Whichever vegetables you like. I use zucchini, squash, red pepper, yellow pepper, mushrooms, onions and garlic. You can slice however you'd like. I like to marinate in olive oil, salt, pepper and some herbs. Then I bake uncovered.

I don't get it. why get minute steak if you want it to cook for four hours? it's MINUTE steak. that's the beauty of it, it only takes a few minutes to cook.

I pan broil mine. pour on some marinade, add a little water to the frying pan, cover and cook a short time on each side. yes, this is on the stovetop. it comes out good with italian dressing, as well. why bother for four hours?
