I have an open can of formula, haven’t used it in months. Can I still use it or does it go bad?

For a newborn use it in one month
For an older kid don't use it after 3 month's
You can call up the number on the can and ask them what they recommend.

Toss. Should be used within one month of opening.

I always throw out cans of formula after 4 weeks. Check the instructions on the can.

I was told if you freeze it the minerals/nutritions last longer.
For a baby mainly nursing I would use out the freezer for 5-6 weeks as the nutritions of one or two bottles does not matter than if it would be the only food.

I throw out after one month. It's basic safety. Don't take a chance with such a small baby!

I was also told use it within a month. I am not usually strict with expirations and stuff, but I remember hearing about a formula missing a vitamin and infants died or got severely handicapped (in Israel a couple of decades ago I think). So I would think that's a possible risk of it not being fresh- maybe it's like it's missing a vitamin? Not something I'd risk! If it's under 2 months, I'd think that's fine, but "haven't used it in months" sounds older to me and not worth it. Sorry, I know it's a lot of money to throw away!
