Moshiach coming vs. Wanting to be close to Hashem

I really want to say that I think we should all make an effort to come close to Hashem through mitzvahs, torah learning and davening. Moshiach is just a person. It's nice to have a human king and have peace but Hashems closeness what we should want. Hashem can do anything

Melech haMoshiach is meant to facilitate closeness with Hashem. We are dedicated to the king and the king is commited Hashem.

He demonstrates the optimal connection and relationship to Hashem.

Belief in Moshiach is specifically the person.

Rambam:
וכל מי שאינו מאמין בו או מי שאינו מחכה לביאתו
Bo- in him. Lebiaso his coming.

it will be so much easier to be close to Hashem when mashiach comes. I don't think of mashiach as a person that will save us. I think Hashem will save us thru mashiach. he's just a shaliach.
