I want to get for my dh a gift a new cologne. He always wears the same lactase. Although we both go for it I want something new. Any suggestions onto what to get? Something soft….

I also once bought this for my husband. He doesn't wear cologne very often, but for those few times. If your husband is used to wearing a certain scent all the time I don't think it's smart to surprise him with something new-- let him be part of the process. Besides, I love it when people smell the same all the time, it's good for the memory. Every time I smell Aramis I get all of these warm feelings because that's what my grandfather has always worn.

(What's lactase? It sounds like an enzyme)

Isn't lactase for lactose intolerance?

I think she meant Lacoste.

Go to a department store and start sniffing. See what smell you and he both like. Try Acqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani and L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme by Issey Miyake. They are fresh (water) scents. I personally prefer different scents.

I like Issey Miyake too, but I use that scent for myself (women's) and I thought it would be too weird if we smelled similar. I suppose someone else could find that cute.

I did this and it was no fun after the first few sniffs they all start smelling alike, they try and give you a little tin of coffee beans to smell to try and cleanse your nose or whatever, man did I have a headache when I left but I did find something, vintage by john varvatos, also smells really good

Another vote for Eternity but everyone is different and different scents smell differently on different people.

I also hate strong smells, that's why I went with Marc Jacobs.

Try Coolwater for men - it's not a heavy scent, and it smells fresh and delicious. I just bought dh a new cologne - Curve for men (they have 3 different kinds)...
