How far from that block is it safe to look for parking and walk to/from car?

It's hard to find parking anywhere, in general. But you have a whole bunch of nearby blocks to circle around. You can park anywhere in the vicinity and walk. Try Carroll and on Kingston itself.

That area is very safe, anywhere from New York to Troy if you want to be safe and from Eastern Parkway to at least Lefferts. I'd personally feel safe outside of that but just as an idea.
