The source for this segulah is the Sefer Brit Menucha by a talmid of the Ramban, Rabbi Avraham M’Rimon HaSephardi, who writes that every seven years on the ninth hour of the ninth day of the ninth month, there is a special time when prayers are accepted in Heaven. This will be today, and there will be a thirteen minute window of opportunity that meets all the opinions (the Gra, Magen Avraham, Rema, and Ben Ish Chai) in calculating the times in a day – from 1:43 to 1:56.Since this segulah depends on the times of sunrise and sunset, it will be slightly different in every country, according to the shaos zemanios (hours based on the amount of daylight divided by twelve) of that country. Gedolei hador shlit’a of previous generations would make special prayer sessions at this time, and this year as well thousands are expected to take advantage of the rare opportunity. Any prayers may be said at that time.
