http://www.pottytrainingconcep.....y.htm

basically you give your kid a lot to drink and take them to the potty every hour, and celebrate when they go.

you also have a doll that also goes pishy and the child takes the doll with them

My 28 month old is trained for pipi for a month but hardly ever does the real stuff. She's done it in the potty maybe 5 times this month. She waits for the diaper at night or goes in her panty. Any suggestions? I'm really going crazy.

My advice to you would be; Don't rush, wait till she's a little older and more mature!

I did my own tecnique with ds it took about two days to a week. (same with dd)
However both dd and ds were 3 years old. I tried once when ds was 2.5 but he was really not ready. He was all excited about using the potty but just didn't know the cues of when to go. He only made in the potty if we happened to be sitting there at the time when he made otherwise he marked the whole house with #1.
Once he was 3 years old he was much more ready and even though he resisted a bit he got the hang of it pretty quickly. I kept him home for a week. Bought a new potty all wrapped up and gave it to him. I told him that now that he's a big boy he gets underwear and there are going to be no more diapers. At first he had a bunch of accidents but he didn't like to be wet so he quickly learned to use the potty (amidst quite a bit of whining for a diaper). And the next day he only wanted to use the toilet. By day #3 he was basically dry the whole day and by the end of the week he was waking up dry. (I will admit that this is not the usual for every child) But I'm just sharing my experience.
At first I used the candy incentive of one candy for #1 and 2 candies for #2 in addition to lots of praise and hugs and kisses. Once I saw he got the hang of it I stopped with the candy and only used verbal praise.

You cant rush 'em

I have 5 trained kids, and all I remember from trying different things at different ages is that they have to be ready. If you start, and see its not working, then dont make yourself (and dc) miserable. Wait another couple of months, and try again. I made one kid absolutely insane with the 1-day training, and it was totally wrong. He was finally ready to do it pretty much himself, around 4 months later.

Dont rush 'em!

I tried it twice and it worked like a charm. Once for one day and once it took 2 days.

1- a month before toilet training get rid of bottles at night. You can give a sippy with water if the child needs it. It's best to train the same time bec the longer you wait the harder it gets. This way when it comes to training they won't be waking up wet. Also when you do at the same time, they are still into feeling if they need to make...

2- keep letting him see how you are making and let him practice sitting on potty or toilet...for a month before you are ready to start. You can talk about what you do...

3-get some yummy edibles like chocolate chips for when he makes and let him know when he gets it

4-put the potty in the kitchen or near a busy place and let him sit on it for ten minutes or a little less. No story books or game playing. put him on every 15-20 minutes or so

5- Keep giving him to drink and watch when you think he might have to go. Keep telling him to tell you when he needs to go. Try to watch him as much as you can so you can grab him to the potty as soon as he starts leaking.

6-No bottoms for the first few days. Do on a weekend when you know you are staying homebound. Do not take him out at all the first few days until he gets the hang of it.
