I’m on shlichus and teach in a day school. For the first time I have two sheitelach that I love, the problem is…
They are very different styles and slightly different shades so my question is…
Is it strange to wear one sheitel one day and one the next?
My kindergartners will be confused, and their parents will think its odd.
Anyone have experience with this?

I knew a lady who one day had just above shoulder length hair, the next day 5 inches below the shoulder....

Maybe keep one sheitel for work only, to not confuse the kids and parents?

Just wearing one shaitel to work is a good idea.

ya'll just confirmed what I've been thinking
too bad, I really wanted to wear my "shabbos" sheitel to orientation, not a good idea. alot of these folks don't even know (yet) that we cover our hair

what???? why shouldnt you tell them???

I am very open about it, also on shlichus in a wealthy, secular neighborhood, and have not received any bad reactions. Obviously I dont go around blurting it out, but lets say I wear my rainy sheitel and someone says, "oh you got a haircut" (its very much darker, shorter and choppier), I told them its my rainy wig. Someone came earlier than I expected, and I was still wearing my tichel, I said "one second please, let me go up and put on my wig" and we had a whole discussion about how many I have. Someone else said "I thought religious women were supposed to cover their hair" and I said I am wearing a wig....it's no biggie at all.

of course I tell them! most people get a kick out of the fact that they couldn't figure it out on their own. they are amazed at the quality of the sheitel.
I think however, telling them and making it obvious during the first week of school - it might freak them out! not to mention the kids.
