Try putting it in the freezer then when the wax hardens you can scrape it off with a popsicle stick.

I have my husband do this one. It's so hard. I think he puts it under hot water, or maybe slightly over a fire (I don't suggest this!) to melt it off...
Let me know if you come up with something easier!
My tray costs like $10-20....so I decided when it gets impossible to clean, I'll just buy a new one.

try the edge of a fake credit card or any of the other cards (store frequent shoppers, etc.) made of similar material. I use it on my silver candlesticks and it doesn't scratch.

Can you just hold it under hot water and gently scrape it off?

Hot water Exclamation but u know I now have the cleanest, self clean shabbos tray around. U know why well after yrs of using neronim, gorgoeus candles and a royal mess.
I decided my candlebra is gorgoeous enough so I use those inserts w/h tea lights yep they r safer for sure and the only thing I have to clean r those inserts. My tray always looks sparkling and just a wipe down since no wax has fallen on there yet Wink

I use boiling water and the wax just melts and runs off. You have to be careful not to get burned, though.

I use the cups that you fill with parafaine and then there is no wax problem.

yes but you risk clogging up your drain eventually. Never throw candle wax or any kind of grease (including chicken fat) down the drain.
