They’re 81 and they move in for the week. It can be a lot! But you can’t sub it for the entire month of tishrei. Its not the same as making one meal of turkey gravy and cranberry pie.

It's not just turkey and cranberry pie did you every see the menu of what is the "traditional" Thanksgiving meal?

Yes I have and I make double that for just ONE meal of yontif
(And it’s not cranberry pie- it’s pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce)

They're in their eighties. EIGHTIES! Are you anywhere near that? And it's not just one meal. Son and dil are coming for an entire week. MUST you pooh-pooh someone else's hardship?

Lots of people make cranberry pie. Yes, it's a thing. Not everyone loves pumpkin pie. In any case, what difference does it make? A pie is a pie, be it pumpkin, cranberry, lemon meringue or Boston cream. It's still a pie and still a job to make.
