so now that we have 2 resident make up artists on board, here is where you can post your makeup challenges, or ask for quick tips or tricks to make that lip look thinner or thicker... or the eyes larger, or closer together... get the drift?

here are some tips I use, hope they help!
-carefully applied white eyeliner on the lower lash line will make eyes look bigger, more awake and sparkely.
- a dark color liner on the inner upper lash line will make lashes look fuller.
-if eye makeup is sumdging under your eye try putting some powder there before and after applying makeup.

Curl lashes BEFORE you put your mascara. It's amazing how many women do it the other way around.

Really? Why? I always curl first so my eyelash curler doesn't get all sticky and yucky.

When putting on lipstick apply lip liner on the enitre lip-(yup fill in those lip lines) adn apply lipstick on top-it keeps the lipstick on for longer...
ohhh and make sure the lipliner is a neutral color!

it is bad to curl FIRST???????? The only professional who curled AFTER (if I am even remembering correctly) I ever saw was my makeup artist for my wedding in Israel. Other than that I was always told by pros from top line brands to curl first.

Apple-somehow when I do that the lipstick comes off even quicker!
Always put moisturizer before applying base/foundation.

I'm also a professional make-up artist by the way
Trick:
Use more than 1 color lipstick; put a lighter color on the middle part of your lower lip. It will look like a 'spark'.

There are really no rules when applying make up.
Whether it's curling your eyelashes before/after...
I have terrible bags under my eyes.
Any suggestions?
Also, how can I hide my double chin;)

Of course there are rules. Like, you put liquid make-up before any kind of powder. Once you apply powder (facial powder, blush, eye shadow), you can't put liquid stuff on top or it'll become mud.
To name one.
As for the bags, try concealer.

ok here's my question. I have brown, deep set small eyes. Which color eye shadow do you think would be good for my face? purple/pink and the likes make my eyes look swollen.
