What mixed emotions they must be going through now!
I can't even comprehend.
How horrible to go from having 3 kids to having an empty house.
This birth is so amazing. And yes, the same genders, what are the odds?

Amazing story. I'm surprised that they were ready to undergo fertility treatments so soon after losing their children. Most people would still be immobilized, I think.

Some people say after a child dies the biggest comfort is when they have another child soon after.

I know that, but there are bereavement therapists who recommend waiting until some of the processing has happened. Since grieving isn't linear, the fear is that a wave will come and be overwhelming, or that the parent will seek to "replace" an irreplaceable person, and that'll place too much pressure on the new kid. I'm not saying that this is the case with this family.

how sad. I just sat down at my laptop and thought lets see what's new at imamother and I wish I never should have loged-in. this is very upseting and yes having new birth is mazal tov,,,,but not like this tragedy preceding. hasve'shalom.

What a comfort those babies must be for them. And she will definitely be kept busy to take her mind off of her sadness. It's truly a blessing.

I was thinking the same. I wonder if the first three were products of ART or not. I mean, they are only married 7 years and the oldest would have been 6, and they are spaced faily close together, so probrably not.

I was also wondering why they did IVF now. Did they always have to?

I saw the interview with the parents.
They knew about the pregnancy the day before the fire, and a few days later they heard they had more than one embryo. But the amazing fact is that it was done without any treatment or outside intervention, and the doctors told them that such a pregnancy naturally occurs only about one in 1,000 births
(I wrote in Hebrew and translated, hoping it's correct)
