Was going to comment about Dinah. I think (on his level) Yaakov Avinu was faulted for it not bothering him (enough?) that he couldn't marry Dinah to Eisav. And it's possible she would have had the koach to bring him to teshuvah. I heard it in a shiur a long time ago so I don't remember which meforush was being quoted.

I always told my kids that the most we'll have in our house is a pet rock. That lasted until a beloved 4th grade Rebbe would "sell" goldfish in his prize store... Definitely not considering cheetahs. Or spiders. Even if given out as Rebbe prizes (I doubt that would be a Morah thing)

I’m fine with animals as long as they are not neglected and I am not responsible for them.
I told my nephew that when our garden grows big enough, we will get a horse. It hasn’t grown yet. We live in a second floor apartment. The porch is about to grow…
Right now we have a turtle, a green cheek conure, and an aquarium that will have some cool fish after we clean out the snail infestation eventually.
