I’m thinking this is something to discuss with your LOR. Just cause a random lady on imamother believes in larger size diapers doesn’t mean it’s the psak you’ll get. I know someone who was told to only check twice in seven days so maybe that’s an idea for you.

I know when My cousin’s SIL was stuck inside a diaper, it was really smelly and claustrophobic in there and she really needed a breather. So try to be open to other perspectives. Sometimes you need to stretch yourself when your diaper cannot. Also, there’s always therapy. And BC. |
Not to mention divorce.

Actually I disagree. If it was the diaper at fault, divorce could be a good option. But I actually believe it is OP who is abusive by denying the contents of the diaper their basic rights to fresh air and artificial light. No matter how poorly behaved they are, diapers cannot be abusive. Only parents can be. OP needs to stop traumatizing the poor diaper.
ETA OP, you seriously should consider therapy to find out what’s so triggering about these diaper blowouts. There are so many people who have overcome these and related fears and now live happier lives.

What on earth is a diaper blowout??
Is it what I think it is?
When it peaks out?

It's when poop leaks from the diaper.

Poop is a perfectly good word.

Try a different brand diaper. On some of my kids, Pampers worked best on the others Huggies

Sometimes lol. That's the worst.
By the way, it has recently come to my attention that some people still don't know this: the stretchy necks or snap closures on modern day baby shirts and onesies (bodysuits) are not just to help them fit over the head easily. They also make it possible to pull the garment down to remove in case of disaster.

You're right, I should really check with my local BHLD (Bais Hadracha L’inyanei Diapers). I’m sure I’m not the only lady with this shaila!

Therapy’s a great option! But I’d have to find someone well-versed in Freud, if you know what I mean…🤪

Seriously though, it doesn't always help to go up a size! Sometimes it's the volume (ahem) of the disaster, or the position of the baby that means that even a complete straightjacket nappy won't contain it.

This. Although sometimes the, ah, diaper contents emerge a lot more…enthusiastically than a mere leak would.

Oh no!! Now THAT would be a major indicator of needing therapy. DC’s blowouts thankfully have only managed to stain (and odorize) the lower half of his garments and some of his bedding.

Right! I learned of this just before having my 5th and last

Steer clear of pessimists like me, and try!
Perhaps your prodigy will be one of the success stories
