Funny stories happen so often I could write a book
Here’s one:
I was getting my makeup done for a wedding recently and unbeknownst to me the chatty artist was trying to create shadows to hide my chubs. I looked in the mirror and noticed darker makeup in some strategic areas. I asked her what it’s all about.
She had a very hard time explaining it to me.
Like seriously, what are you trying to hide?
I subsequently told her that I’m one of those ppl that got no shame.
She kindly redid it. But she was very quiet.
Sweet memory.

I’m not plus sized but my dh weighs almost a 100 lbs less than me. Whenever I kvetch about my weight he says: I like when you’re overweight, I’ve got more of you to love!

My 5 year old can measure height easily . She excitedly announced the other day “Mommy! I’m so tall already ! I reach all the way up to your fatness!” A.k.a stomach roll #1.

I'm never cold because I have natural padding.
I can sit for long periods of time without my tush bones hurting.
I can enjoy food without worrying that I'll get fat.

I can sit down and enjoy a hot coffee and yum piece of kokosh cake guilt free while my skinner sister is obsessing over every ounce of food and deprives herself constantly. She's not that pleasant to be around. ( she also can't understand how I have the chutzpah to eat cake etc without feeling guilty and like I'm committing a cardinal sin!)

Can't believe no one posted this yet!
I'm not so worried about falling down and breaking a bone when I go hiking or climb on a ladder to fix something. The extra padding is very useful!
Though I do have a collection of bruises LOL

And yes I'm a larger person even though I'm very very active. The only way I could be slimmer is if I starved myself. And then I wouldn't have the energy to do lots of fun things!

Also, I'm a size 16-18 does that count as plus? I can fit into some of the xl in the frum stores. Unless they make them smaller like they did this year. My xl things from last year still fit so I know it's not me it's the clothing.

My face is so smooth it never gets wrinkled. All of my skinny friends have faces that are so wrinkled.
IMO I look much younger than them Very Happy

I weigh around 180 lbs, technically for my height I am about 40 -50 lbs overweight , but I wear size large or xl.

When we get asked if we're pregnant at appointments...we're not sure if they ask everyone, or just special for us because we may look pregnant...

I get the kallah room with the jacuzzi bath at the mikvah…
If it’s available they offer it to plus size women.
