My husband noticed that the summer camp we applied to for my daughter charged our credit card over $800 but we did not yet receive an acceptance letter from them. Just wondering if I can assume she's accepted if they charged us. What has your experience been?

Was that part of the registration/deposit? Or part of scheduled tuition payment?
Particularly if it's the latter, I'd just call them to confirm she has been accepted.

My friend just had that.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same one.
Sounds like A bit of a tzufloigen office!
She had assumed dd wasn't accepted because they never got the letter, unlike dd's friends, but then her cc was charged. She had Been accepted but camp didn't communicate that.
Dds not sure if she wants to go to that camp or a different one, so she's saying nothing yet, but if she chooses not to, she will tell them and if need be dispute it

All the financial information was included in the application but I had to sign and return it with my application so I don't recall the specifics. She applied to more than one camp and each one has a different financial policy. Now I know that I should retain a copy of any application before returning it. Live and learn.
I think there are 3 charges of $800 (one now, one in April, and one in June.) I am just surprised that I got charged without an official acceptance letter.

I was charged and got the acceptance letter a month later. It usually means you are accepted. I would call just to make sure.
