My concern with non academic seminaries is if there are more problematic girls there than elsewhere? They most likely not go to "top" academic places, so are left with non-academic ones.
Is it the case?

To my knowledge it's for American Israeli girls. They have a Shana bet program which has Americans.

All seminaries like to portray how academic they are. I think the ones a non academic but good mainstream girl can thrive in is:
Keser Chaya
BYA
Bnos Chava
Reenas
Meor
Lahav
anyone else feel free to add
Seminar has upped their game tremendously and is super hard to get into but a non academic girl can still thrive there.
Nachlas offers in school tutoring to help girls.
The problem is getting in. Once your in, most schools will work with a good girl.

Yeah this is true. But if it's really good for the student they'd accept a Shana Aleph into Shana bet.
Its still around and thriving. It doesn't really need to advertise much.

Just wanted to add my two cents because my very bright daughter is in kesser Chaya. KC has a name as non academic but my very bright alef plus daughter says she is working very hard. So this leads me to believe that they are all hard. They all have a different focus (like kc is more focused on hashkafa hence it's "less academic") but all of the ones that other posters mentioned work the girls really hard. (I don't know anything about kitov but the rest of them for sure). You should probably be speaking to the seminary advisor in your daughter's school. She will know the ins and outs of each seminary. Hatzlacha. I hope she has an amazing year

My daughter's friend is in Keser Chaya and she's been working very hard! She's a great, solid, good girl who didnt want an academic seminary and isnt thrilled with the work actually. I've heard they're trying to rebrand and become more academic. Not sure if this is true or not, but something to look into. Academic or not, I don't think seminaries should pretend to be one way and then switch it up on the girls unexpectedly. There's enough girls that want each type!
