My daughter told me there’s a board where email is hung
Maybe she means faxes?

Faxes.
You can also call and they will write out a message for her and hang it on the bulletin board. We sent DD messages that way first half - that we miss her, that we wish her a fun day, and that she got a new cousin B"H....all put up on the board.

I’m considering applying to CBY this summer (we have pull, I know it’s very hard to get in ) but is this accurate that they don’t have an email address ?? I’m finding it hard to believe . How do they communicate with the parents ? Is everything via snail mail or phone ? Is this a hashkafic issue or they just haven’t joined the modern world ?

Nope, they claim they don’t have internet or email. Applications are mailed, filled out, mailed back… communication during the summer is either by phone, mail or fax.
That’s just how it is there.
It doesn’t effect the great time the girls have.

Wow, interesting. I thought filtered internet for email or business purposes was totally acceptable even in yeshivish circles . But cool, good for them .
