Would love to do this with my newborn, I have a Canon t6i
Any tips for good lens to get?
Would love prop and or posing tips for anyone that's fine this.

You didn’t say if you have tons of experience with your camera and photography.
If you aren’t professional photographer, I’d recommend using the lens you already own or your own phone.
“It’s not the camera/lens that Makes the pics AMAZING, it’s the photographer. “
It’s easier and cheaper to pay someone to edit the pics after and add in the bokeh that you want than to spend a thousand dollars on a lens that you’re only using once. Unless you plan on going into this professionally

Thanks for your input, I have very amateur experience with my camera and do by plan on going into photography at all, just enjoy the results.
The kit lens b is not very good though, but was hoping to spend 100-200 doesn't need to be best lens
Especially since the lighting in my house is not always great or consistent
