Rosh Chodesh white shirts at what age

At what age do boys start wearing white shirts for Rosh Chodesh. I’m in Lakewood and I have a 3 year old in nursery by a morah. Will all the other kids be wearing white Rosh Chodesh?

my boys our bochirim now so its white shirts daily but sometimes you would have the boys wearing white shirts most of week . siyum tuesday Wednesday & thursday rosh chodesh then friday & shabbos I used to dread that since I dont usually have so many white shirts for that age kid and they need a change daily

In Lakewood it’s done. Usually in a 3 year old playgroup it starts. I sent 2 boys and that’s how it was. Although there we’re always those 1-2 boys not in white and often if it’s a 2 day rc then only half were wearing white by the second day.

When my boys were 3, most of the class would wear white on RC. Every time there would be a handful who wouldn't.
However I noticed that in 3 and 4 year old playgroups, many boys would not be wearing button down or even Polo shirts.
They wore a plain white t-shirt.
Much cheaper so if it gets ruined it's less frustrating and the kids didn't care. What mattered was wearing the White Shirt.

I found the kids who wore white shirts in playgroup were the ones with older siblings.

This. When my younger son was in nursery he wanted to wear because his older brother did. The first time he was the only one. After that all of the other boys copied him.

Follow up: I mentioned to my kids about how tomorrow is the first Rosh Chodesh of the school year with white shirts, and three year old immediately insisted that she needs to wear a white shirt too

I’m not sure if 3 year old girls wear… can’t remember. My youngest daughter is 11. For sure 3 year old boys do…
