we had bagels w/ cream cheese, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit salad, and some chocolate cookies (I took them out of the freezer and stuck them in the oven for a few minutes- YUM!!)

Yes, they are allowed only for havdalah. See Kitzur Shulchan Aruch Siman 125, par. 6 and 7. Also, Siman 124, par.20 -" however we are stringent not to eat meat and not to drink wine the night of the 10th and not during the the day of the 10th till midday, except for a seudas mitzvah."
