Oh my. It was major competition who had more backers. Also if you had 1- 8th grade backer you were better off than 2-7th grade backers. Lol. |

Remember that most of the time satmar won sports against other camps especially if one of the mendlowitz girls were in the ball game.
Remember how all campers screamed ow..when they chapped the rocket ball

Our class had promised to back one or the other, don't ask me who, and then broke their promise. I was so upset I refused to cheer for either one.
I hated cheering anyways
Was that the year when we were we had kayla kuchleffer activity and mixed up bunks? We got ridiculous new names like shepleffel and had to make up a bunk night and shabbos song for it

A rocket ball? In my early days, rocket balls was not allowed. Mrs. Rosenberger, who stayed in the side of the alter shpielhaus (yes, I'm that old), would come in with a racketball and a scissors and show how she busted it.

Actually the opposite was true. That is why they ended up trying to split Monroe into 2. Needless to say, that did not work out. Although they made 3 classes that year, but Monroe stayed together.
