I usually order meat from one butcher and when I order London broil, I get a long and thin piece of meat, almost like an oversized steak. I marinate it, broil it and then cut it into strips to serve.
Today I ordered London Broil from a diff. butcher and it came as a round piece of meat, looking like a roast and in a netting. I checked the label and it says london broil on it.
So my question is- what did I get? And what do I do with it? Help!!

well that is definately NOT a london broil. I would make it like a pot roast.
check the weight and look up a cooking time online.

I called up the store to ask them what the stroy is. The butcher said he has 2 types of london broil. one the way I usually get it and one that is more like a roast. he said it is meant to be cooked like a roast and the meat is very soft so im trying a recipe I have w. lots of onion and garlic and hoping it will be okay..
thanks for responding!
