We can get something called steak, but it's nothing like ribsteak. I live in Europe - I think in most of Europe it's tough to get a real steak.

Sunday: pasta and tomato sauce with split pea soup
Monday: Chocci's Good Luck Sesame chicken (looking forward to trying this)
Tues: enchiladas (frozen last week)
Wed: Chili and cornbread
Thursday: Burritos and some kind of soup
(yes, I am definitely going through a Mexican food phase!)
Maybe I'll break up the Mexican food and have the Chinese chicken in between. Haven't decided yet.

Yum, Mimivan, can I eat by you this week??? Looove Mexican. How do you get your enchiladas not too spicy for the kids? I have made lots of homemade sauces, but they don't compare to the storebought ones. The (I think Ortega?) mild one is just too spicy for my kids, though. I have diluted it with pasta sauce and other ewwy things but not so successfully. Ideas?

I make salsa like this
2 onions
2 peppers
2 garlic cloves
Paprika
Cilantro
1/4 cup tomato paste
Fry onions and peppers. Lower heat and cook for a very long time after adding just a bit of water. Add Tomato paste (1/4 cup) and cilantro. Cook on a very low heat for a long time. Add more tomato paste if needed.
That's it..Add cut up chilis if you want it spicy, or serve on the side

I use the weekly menus from the Menu Mailer (www.savingdinner.com). We use vegetarian because DH doesn't eat meat, but the regular Menu Mailer comes with kosher options.
It also has a weekly shopping list, it's really great!
