When boys wear purple and pink clothes and yarmulkas so that they match their sisters dress. It’s too much.

My pet peeve isn’t necessarily a specific fashion as much as wearing something that looks terrible on the person just because it is trendy. Part of fashion is actually looking good.

Super curious:
Why are they called European styles? Who in Europe dresses like that? And if they do, usually they are imitating Brooklyn fashion, no?

Last season, the stores were selling black and white, solid greys, and nothing that would grab a child's heart. Way too staid. Let little girls have ruffles and bows, polka-dots and color!
Good for you for finding bright and fun stuff! |
From day one, DD hated anything with bows, ruffles, or anything like that. She hated any sort of hair clip or head elastic. She hated hats, booties, or too many blankets.
Her style is "comfortable and easy to play in." She actually really likes things like a black skirt with a sequin silver top. Leggings are always preferred instead of tights.
She's 16 now. She knew exactly what she wanted when she was young, and it hasn't changed a bit.

Nope. European styles are designed and manufactured in Europe. Spain, Italy, Denmark, France... some of the cheaper companies like 3 pommes are designed in Europe and made in China.

They are the European brands (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese) If you look at the kids clothing boutiques in those countries, that's the kind of clothing that they sell.
For Example:

Shells for everything, from evening gowns to summer dresses.
The add-on look. I think it looks ridiculous on most dresses and skirts
We used to do more professional alterations to make stuff tzanua but now most people don't bother.
Just my 2 cents.
