Is that the book where Sophie has amnesia? And finds herself married? Omg!! Montclair or something? Hilarious
Was her name Sophie? Or was that the author?

Sophie kinsella is the author. And the shopaholic books star s Becky. But think she has amnesia. There's also Jojo Moyes who has a story called the last letter from your lover which involves amnesia

One of my best friends lives in Bet, and she wears a shawl. She's really inspired me to improve my level of tznius, without saying a single word. I have never heard a "preachy" thing come out of her mouth. She's one of the most honest, down to earth people I've ever met. Nothing like the "crazy fanatic" stereotypes you hear about "shawl ladies". She's a BT, Breslover. We both had a very colorful "past life", and we bonded over our love of Yiddishkeit. I miss her SO MUCH!

Tell me about your favorite flower.

[quote="singleagain"]FYI. Mothers day is not Hallmark's creation.

Oh my gosh. singleagain! You know everything. I never knew the history behind Mother’s Day. I googled it and it wasn’t even for a “tell me.” 😉

My favorite flower... I love flowers. But I’ve resigned myself to silk flowers because I cannot keep live flowers alive

Tell me about shawl ladies. (I am ignorant and have no idea what you mean by that...)

I'm really into trivia. My favorite is uncle John's bathroom readers. Everything is in there!

They go dressed as the Arabs, black shawl covering face, long black robes. Some wear cones on their head.

Tell me about the cone ladies
Added to their shawl look, they add a cone underneath shawl to look like a mountain & not a person, so men don't see their form.

I was once in a class when a classmate handed in something with the word stereotype written as stereo type among other spelling mistakes and I’ve never thought of the word the same again. Always brings to mind a picture of a certain type of person holding a stereo!

But that doesn’t help us with cone ladies

Curiouser and curiouser.

What in the world is a cone lady?
I am picturing a lady with an empty cone in her hand.
