You may both be right. The lunches are for 3-18. The portions are adequate for preschoolers but not for hungry teens. But that's ok because I supplement it with other food I have on hand.
Not really. My kids have been thrilled with every other meal we’ve gotten. It was just that one with 5 elbow noodles.
Toras Zev gave out pizza today - 1 slice. Plus 2 apples, tortilla chips, pickle.
(Not to complain, but portion sizes for teenagers and 2 year olds are really different!)

Its enough for the teen if they eat the apples....lol Im sure a teen would prefer another slice of pizza to two apples but IMO its just as filling and healthier.
Yeshiva nachlei torah gave lunches today for the whole week.
Pick up was supposed to be until 1.00pm but they ran out at 12.30 after distributing 2500 meals!! Unbelievable!

Was that for all families or only Nachalei Torah families.

When I complained about being hungry (when I had eaten) my mother would offer an apple or other fruit. And then when I declined she would laugh and say if I were hungry I would eat the apple gladly.

Same! Also, growing up, on the occasion that we were treated with pizza, it was a given that everyone got one slice, my parents included. Then whoever wanted would have a fruit and / or veggie to fill up and round out the meal in a healthy way.
Are any of the public school sites drive-through? My DH went to Clifton Ave school this morning & said you had to park & get out & wait in a long line.

I heard that they are already out of food. Anyone know if they are going to replenish?
I just went to somerset at 10 and gelbsteins was restocking. Very quick, no line and I didn’t have to get out of the car
They gave a small container of pasta, a small plain (corn?) muffin, small bottle milk per child, some cucumbers... there was apple juice and clementines but for some reason it wasn’t givien to me.
It didn’t look like they had a lot. Hopefully the won’t run out.
