Is there anything I can use instead of easy-off? What can I soak it in to loosen the gunk? I don't like to keep easy-off in the house since it is so caustic and causes burns.

Doesn't that take lots of elbow grease? anyone heard of soaking it in ammonia water?
If using easy-off, you hardly have to scrub at all, everything just rinses off.

Before my dh puts the food on the grill he sprays it really well with PAM. It's not as hard to clean off afterward. Happy Grilling!!
