Funny you should mention this, I JUST bought a new mop today. I haven't tried it out yet. It is called a roller mop, but it just looks like a big sponge at the end of the stick.

I have one of those regular rope kinds and I can't stand it.

swifter is good for little messes, but I hate doing my whole kitchen floor with it because I feel like I have to scrub really really hard and it hurts my back.

rope mops are the worst....How can you get a good clean floor when you mop with dirty water???? I have the Libman's wonder mop...It is still like a rope mop, however, it is heavy duity cloth strips...and I know that this sounds kinda weird, but I use two differnet buckets of water....one with the soap and one to rinse in....I empty the rinse water out once or twice, (depending on how messy my floor is!!!!) and that really helps get the floor clean. Yes it is a bit more work...but the results are worth it!!!!

Miriam - what kind of microfiber mop do you have?

MatzosMama, I like the idea of 2 buckets of water, maybe I will try that. I once had a Libman wonder mop, but I didn't really care for it; it fell apart fairly easily.

And the hands and knees position for cleaning floors is perfect if you're pregnant. It gets your baby into the optimal fetal position = shorter labor.

I live in Italy, and we have in the house a wonderful thing called "Mocho Vileda"...it's perfect for cleaning the floor also in the most horrible conditions, like after Shabbos, when the floor is full of "leftovers"... Very Happy
