I got the lentil meatball recipe from one of the threads here. I think it was the one "whats for supper tonight?". And if I'm not mistaken it was breslov's recipe/invention. I don't have time to look for it now but maybe you can do a search.

No wonder. You need to see what's cheap and what's fresh in teh stores and THEN plan on your dinner.

No wonder. That's a huge job and you can't know your schedule nec. so far in advance.

Oh, and to the Amother that said "she can't believe that more ppl don't eat milchigs for dinner", let me clue you in that it's not cheap & it's not fat free, either. and if ppl eat cheese for lunch, it's less than attractive for dinner, too....

I haven't really been home for a while...we were in NY for about 5 weeks. Here's this weeks menu.

Sunday
BBQ- anyone here ever had a real argentinian bbq???

Monday
steaks
corn on cob
fresh salad with garlic vinaigrette

Tuesday
mcdonalds

Wednesday
meatballs in brown sauce
rice
salad

Thursday
Crock Pot Braised Chicken With Vegetables

I do weekly menus too!

This week:

Monday- We had baked ziti and salad

Tuesday- Rice, fried tilapia and salad

Wed- Meat loaf, butternut squash soup- crock pot, rolls

Thurs- pizza bagels or tufo wraps

Shabbos- planned and shopped for Fri night, eating out Shabbos day

Sunday night we brbecued vegetables and burgers.

Monday night was baked chicken cutlets (bought a family pack) with a boxed coucous mix and baked butternut squash.

Tues night was the rest of the cutlets made into a stir fry with Mandarin oranges and fried rice.

Wed - leftovers, Thurs night I have a Pidyon HaBen.

sun- falafels, veg soup
mon - wraps, butternut soup, broccoli muffins, salad
tues - meat lasgana, veg soup, mashed potatoes
wed - honey, mustard chicken, farfel, potato soup, salad
thurs - marinated salmon, brown rice, stir fry veggies, pea soup

omg, la456, how do u do all that? all those courses? good for you!!
by me, its this with that... chicken cutlets and potatoes, or meat and whatever. sometimes a salad, sometimes a soup, but not always!
dh gets full so fast, and ds hardly eats anything normal... Guess thats why I dont do it....
or maybe I used to be like you, but with being pregnant, I JUST HAVE NO PATIENCE!!!!!

I eat very healthy so I make a variety of things some I eat and some he'll eat and btw my freezer is my best friend. all my soups - frozen, brocolli muffins- frozen, everythign else is not much time, if u can do many things at once.
I dont ahve children yet so its adultish food and I guess I have more time (although I work full time)

This week was easy since I already had Sunday and Monday taken care of.

Sunday- bbq at restaurant
Monday- shabbos leftovers + homemade potato knishes
Tuesday- crock pot chicken (didn't end up making it last week)
Wednesday- pepper steak with rice and veggie soup
Thrusday- empanadas and butternut squash soup

at the end of each month I plan menus for the upcoming month- I find it makes life so much easier and we don't have as much pasta as we had before. I would always make pasta when not sure waht to make for dinner.

sunday- homemade pizza
monday- garlic lime chicken with rice pilaf and sauted veg
tuesday- pea soup (leftover from shabbos) and israeli salad
wednesday- taco night, with tomato onion salad and avocado salad
thursday- egg omelets and salad

Sunday night – grilled club steaks & veg shish
Monday night – cauli anchovy pasta
Tuesday – chicken schwarma from this site and Israeli salad and pita bread
Wed – turkey hotdogs with fresh buns and prob. corn
Thurs – leftovers or pasta

brocolli muffins (anf most any muffins I make) are kugel recipes baked in muffins for portion control and for advance preperation I.e. can go into the freezer. I use the recipe in the spice and spirit creamy broccoli kugel

Sunday - Chicken soup and roasted chicken from Shabbos, sauteed artichokes
Monday - Asparagus soup and grilled chicken/artichoke salad
Tuesday - CM's Broccoli rigatoni dish
Wednesday - Moroccan Chicken in the pot with chickpeas, baby onions, potatoes, and olives

Sunday- Big tossed salad with tuna sandwiches
Monday- We had an Upsherin
Tuesday- Chicken, vegie and rice noodle stir fry, tossed salad
Wednesday- Turkey hot dogs, cabbage salad
Thursday- ?? I have alot of shabbas cooking to do so im assuming something easy like omelots

Sunday - Teriyaki Chicken, Leftover Kugels & Salads (Potato, Lukshen, Israeli, Cuccumber, and Potato)
Monday - Flounder, Sweet Potatoes and Broccoli
Tuesday- Meatballs, Whole Wheat Spaghetti, and tossed salad
Wednesday - Vegetable Soup, Chicken Cutlets, Mashed Potatoes, & String Beans
Thursday - Homemade Veggie Pizza, Cut up Veggies, and Some sort of Oven Baked Potatoes (fries, chips etc..)

B"H we have 3 little ones, so for now, our menu is almost always the same to make life much easier

sun, leftovers
mon, fish- usually salmon w/whole wheat pasta, fresh cut veggies
tue, meat- burgers and baked ff for kids, steak and baked potato for adults, fresh salad
wed, chicken- usually cutlets (curry, tarragon, baked schnitzel, or bbq) w/ brown rice and fresh veggie
thurs, fish- usually tilapia w/ whole wheat pasta or brown rice and veggies

sometimes I make a big soup to be eaten throughout the week

sometimes dh and I will get take out and kids will eat what's on the menu
