It just means mixed. Different things mixed together.

What exactly do you need to know?

Are you talking about "ta'arovet"?

Yes, Maybe that's it.

I'm wondering what it is. Someone I know doesn't go to concerts because she said it's mixed seating which is Ta'aruvos. So I'm wondering what Ta'aruvos is, if it's wrong then why are concerts done this way and then what about other mixed events, like mixed weddings.

I think that's the reason why Lipa Schmeltzer was asked to cancel some of his appearances at concerts or events because they were mixed.

It just means a mixture. When learning for Smicha, this refers to a mixture of something treif and kosher-- the classic example is a piece of horse meat falling into a soup... [Note this does not include mixtures such as a piece of cheese falling into a fleishig soup-- that would be under basar b'chalav.]

Thanks I understand that it means a mixture.
I'm wondering where it comes in as a term for the prohibition of men and women mingling

Very Happy .

OK, I guess no one gets what I'm asking about. I'll quote it differently in a new thread because I'm interested to know.

ta'aruvos is an expression used to describe a scene where men and women end up mixing too freely and it becomes a tznius issue.
