It's 1220 a.m., I'm waiting in port authority bus terminal for my husband to pick me up. 5 homeless people laying near the only place I found to sit.

If a full subway train pulls into the station and one car is surprisingly empty, DO NOT GO INTO THAT EMPTY CAR. It's either too hot or too smelly. I hate mornings.

So I'm making my cholent and I realize: cutting up onions, checking barley, peeling and cutting up potatoes - all could have been done last night. I could have streamlined my erev Shabbos preps and had that much calmer a day (and more time to go online erev Shabbos).
