I have a pot that was put on a hot electric burner while it was empty. Needless to say it got burnt. The strange thing was that most of the burnt part was not black but a copperish color. I have tried scrubbing it well with baking soda and soap and I saoked it too. All the black has come off but the bottom is a copperish color instead of silver. How can I get it to be the original color?

Maybe the coating got damaged? I wouldn't use it if that's the case.

Only the bottom, on the outside, has the coppery look not on the inside, so no problem of cooking with food.

I don't think the copperish color will come off. It sounds to me as if the metal has become discolored through exposure to heat.
