Help I have a pot that was put on a hot electric burner while it was empty. Needless to say it got burnt. The strange thing was that most of the burnt part was not black but a copperish color. I have tried scrubbing it well with baking soda and soap and I saoked it too. All the black has come off but the bottom is a copperish color instead of silver. How can I get it to be the original color? Help What

Maybe the coating got damaged? I wouldn't use it if that's the case.

What do you do with the olive oil? Do you wash it out like soap or do you first boil it and the brush it off? And does it help by all burned things on pots or pans?

Only the bottom, on the outside, has the coppery look not on the inside, so no problem of cooking with food.

I don't think the copperish color will come off. It sounds to me as if the metal has become discolored through exposure to heat.
