Maybe yeshiva garb is part of costume and they are not as yeshivaish as they looked? Not typical way to spend bein hazmanim. Either way they are very talented

No matter how talented, this is a terrible.

You went to sing by the eino yehudim,so they should praise you?

This is so distasteful.

I don't know but I didn't think that it was so great. Because they are frum Jews? I don't get it.

I thought they were talented and very likable. I think there is a big difference between performing in the white house and performing on america's got talent. What is their goal, exactly? The Hollywood entertainment biz is not exactly the most moral one. What would they like to get out of this?

lol. I guess I really don't watch these kinds of shows. I thought it was fame. Didn't realize there is a cash prize.

Yup. Wink

It's actually one of the only shows my husband is willing to watch with me.

Anyway, there's no way they'll win.

Well all four judges seemed to like it...even Simon, so they must have something good there!

I usually cringe when Frum-looking people go on TV but these guys were great! And they got a standing ovation, so I guess most people agreed.

I love how they acted and looked like such typical Yeshiva guys. Hope they continue to do that throughout the show, however long they last.

If two African American men were doing it would it be such a big deal? I think the surprise fact was what the people liked, that two Orthodox Jews seemed like they were going to be a big flop and then they did their show. Which does show a talent but none that I personally thought was so fantastic in my opinion.

Im pretty sure that the white shirt, tzitzis out, thing was part of the look and part of their appeal.

(I saw a video of them on youtube dressed differently.)

I thought it was a cute act. Im not aware that there is any halachic problem with auditioning on the show... ?

I thought they were adorable.
I found nothing that could be construed as even questionable halachically, ie: they didn't kiss the female judges or whatever.
I think those of us with no talent (like me) can't understand the need for people to perform publicly. For some people it really is a passion and I think they did it in a very respectful way.
