I read in a book that some people put Scotchguard on clothing-such as sleeves of shirts so they don't stain so quickly. Has anyone here ever done this? Can it be done to colored clothes, tzitzis strings, etc.?

Scotchguard is a spray. Made by the same company as the tape.

ooh sorry I thought you wrote scotchtape. but anyway never heard of scotchgaurd. maybe it says on the bottle or something what type of clothing it is good for. I would put it on my kids clothing all over not just the sleeves and all.
